We just returned from Paris and relied heavily on the drinking fountains as we walked 10-14 miles a day ... and on the third day, discovered one fountain right along the Seine that dispenses sparkling water. It was magical!
It's not just keys. I don't understand American obsession with home invasions. It would take a battering ram to break down my door. It's massive. As far as I can tell they were always massive. Our office is a converted apartment at least 100 years old, and the front door is so heavy, I can hardly open it.

I last went to Siena in 2015 but I still regularly think about some of the little grocery stores there.
Disagree that beach clubs don't exist in the US, they're everywhere in the Northeast (though they tend to be more membership vs day pass)
